Apartment Building in Magic City

“Roll Down the Window” - Miami, FL 2024

The project explores a housing typology for Miami inspired by its vernacular, criticizing the current living conditions in South Florida. The unit design provides an immersive experience within an affordable housing market and envisions a pedestrian-centered urban fabric.

The housing design challenges the double-loaded corridor typology by offsetting the units to create a centralized semi-private courtyard/series of vertical gardens. The design flexibility allows for an expansive variety of unit types, ranging from lofts to four-bedroom family units.
